Passover: What Did Jesus Do for You? – Mike Bennett lifehopeandtruth.com
When we link the two biblical statements – “the penalty for sin is death” and “all have sinned” – we are faced with a question regarding our personal future. Thankfully, God foresaw this reality and provided a way for us to be forgiven of sin. Christ came to this earth as a human and died in our stead. Christ not only kept the Passover during His time on earth, but He also became our Passover by being sacrificed for us. His sacrifice is remembered by the annual eating of bread and the drinking of wine – symbols of His body and blood. The Passover is very personal to each one of us and we are commanded to observe it in the manner Christ instituted immediately prior to His crucifixion.
