The Last Great Day is the 7th and final Holy Day in God’s annual calendar. It looks forward to a time after the return of Jesus Christ, and after the 1,000 year period in which Christ rules over the Earth with peace and prosperity, when everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected to physical life and given a chance to know Christ, to have free access to the Holy Spirit, and to be instructed in the Way. God’s plan is inclusive; He wants everyone to join His family, so He gives everyone the same chance and judges us all by the same standard. It is the 2nd resurrection. After a time of living, instruction, and overcoming, all humanity is brought back before God (the 3rd resurrection) to be judged. The few incorrigibly wicked who reject God will mercifully be burned up forever. Everyone else will be transformed into spirit, full-fledged members of the God Family like Jesus Christ. Then God will create a new heaven and a new earth, and reveal the next phase in His exciting creative plan for us.
