Jesus revealed there is one Godhead, or one God Family, working together with one mind and purpose. This Family includes God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. John 1:1 states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The “Word” became Jesus Christ (John 1:14).

Hebrews 1:1-4 confirms Christ’s divinity, showing He is worshiped by angels, a status only a member of the God Family can hold. The God Family will expand to include those who follow God’s way. Hebrews 2:7-8 shows humanity, now lower than angels, will be crowned with glory.

Believers will be transformed at resurrection: “we shall be like Him” (1 John 3:2), becoming immortal (1 Corinthians 15:53). The Father and Son are one unified Family, and resurrected Christians will join this divine Family.

Scriptures refute the idea that Jesus and the Father are the same being:

Jesus was begotten by the Father (Hebrews 1:5).
He prayed to the Father (John 17).
He stated the Father was greater (John 14:28).
On the cross, Jesus cried out to God (Matthew 27:46).
After resurrection, He ascended to the Father (John 20:17).
The Father invited the Son to sit at His right hand (Matthew 22:44).
Jesus admitted only the Father knows the time of His return (Matthew 24:36).
These points clearly distinguish between Jesus and the Father while affirming their unity in the God Family.
