The Feast of Unleavened Bread: Pursuing a Life of Righteousness – Mike Bennett lifehopeandtruth.com
Immediately following the Passover, is the first day of Unleavened Bread. This day is a Holy Day and is the first of 7 annual Holy Days. There are 7 days of Unleavened Bread with the first and seventh being Holy Days. These days show us what we are to do once Christ’s sacrifice has been applied on our behalf. Through Christ and His death, we are forgiven of sin and reconciled to God. That reconciliation is the beginning of a new way of life. Once forgiven of sin, we are to continue in a way of life devoid of sin. The seven days of Unleavened Bread portray leaven as a type of sin. By not eating any leavened product for 7 days, we are reminded of the need to put the leaven of sin out of our lives. We are to pursue a life of righteousness
